The Beachcomber
We often don't stop to think enough about the impact we, as humans, have on the pollution of the earth. With this work, I want to show that the moment you throw something on the ground and it's never picked up, it has a massive impact. The candy wrapper, the cap of a bottle, etc., that ends up in the city's drains eventually makes its way to the sea. It may break down into smaller pieces of plastic in the ocean, becoming tiny microplastic particles. These small particles then make their way back to land and ultimately enter our food chain.
