My Sister and I

My Sister and I is an installation in which I try to capture shared memories by giving them form and color. These are moments we can vividly recall, and most of them make us laugh heartily now. They've all faded and distorted, and perhaps they don't align with reality anymore, but their power lies in the fact that you can share them.

Even the process of bringing this piece to life shapes the relationship I have with my sister. Saffron yellow is a warm and loving color, and it's central to us. Saffron is an incredibly stubborn color and does what it wants. While creating this work, I had a bit of a battle with the saffron yellow. But it holds its place.

My sister and I fought a lot as children, and more than once, we cursed each other. But no matter what, she is MY golden sister. Our fights have found their place in our memories, not in this work. Though, perhaps the saffron yellow is a subtle reference to that.

The work consists of various elements, each accompanied by its own poem, shedding light on the differences within a shared memory.
